GOOD NEWS FOR DALE STREET!
GOOD NEWS FOR DALE STREET!
Many of you have been understandably vociferous in getting in touch with us about the state of Dale Street. Between countless utility works, endless patching, and general wear and tear, the road has been left in a real mess.
We’ve been pushing your concerns directly to the Highways Department, and we’re delighted to report that our representations have been successful! Resurfacing works have now been officially scheduled— hopefully, you’ll be able to eat your dinner off it by the time they’re done.
Here are the key details you need to know:
When: Starting Monday, 9th November 2026 (expected to take up to a week)
Working Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm daily
Road Closures: To allow the crew to work safely and get the job done properly, there will be a temporary road closure on sections of Dale Street, as well as adjoining side roads when necessary.
Access: Access to properties within the working area will be maintained wherever possible, though there may be brief restrictions as the work progresses along the street.
Information boards will be going up on-site and around the area shortly to keep motorists updated.
There will inevitably be disruption while this takes place, so please plan ahead if you use Dale Street or live nearby - but it will be well worth it to finally have a resilient Dale Street again!
Thank you to all the residents who kept raising this with us.
