About Us
About the Edgeley Community Association
We are the Edgeley Community Association (ECA), a legally registered political party and a political group within Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council. We hold all three Edgeley Ward seats, and we answer to residents, not a party whip.
In line with our constitution, we act for the welfare and common good of both the Edgeley Ward and the Borough of Stockport. We're a community forum with local focus, bringing residents, faith groups and community organisations together around the priorities they set themselves - not national politics.
Formed by residents in December 2022, the ECA made history five months later by winning all three Edgeley seats from Labour. You can read the full story, and the six-point plan we've held ourselves to ever since, below.
